Plant Spirit Medicine: A Journey into the Healing Wisdom of Plants

Author: Eliot Cowan

I have always loved plants. It is refreshing to come across an author who loves plants and spending time with them as much as I do. I also appreciated how Eliot and his version of Plant Spirit Medicine incorporate the five elements, fire, earth, metal, water, and wood. This aspect was new and exciting, as I have now incorporated some of his ideas into my work and daily life. Another very cool fact was that Eliot mentioned and explored two MesoAmerican deitiesQuetzalcoatl and Tlaloc. He also includes interviews with some interesting shamans he has encountered on his travels. This really connected Plant Spirit Medicine with my love for Mexica healing practices. A very interesting book, especially if you are interested in exploring plants, the elements, dreams, and indigenous practices for healing. Definitely a keeper for my library!
