As Time Slows…Posted April 21, 2020
I am finding that time is taking on a new nuance. Time is losing the meaning it has had in the past as we no longer have to scurry to activities and events. I’ve said for years that time is a human construct. I stopped wearing a wrist watch more than twelve years ago when I was still in the toxicology laboratory. At that point, I found a watch uncomfortable on my skin. I haven’t worn a watch since.
Nature has a very different way of looking at time than humans. The seasons will continue to cycle. The sun will continue to shine. The moon will continue to rise. Leaves and vegetable scraps will continue to decompose. Rain will continue to fall. Everything is slowing down to a calmer pace. As we adjust to this slower pace, enjoy your sleep, your quiet time, and your time in nature. Allow yourself to remember the bliss of being slower and connected to the cycles of nature.
