Book Review: Warrior of the LightPosted January 31, 2020
|By Paulo Coelho|
In 2017, I read and reviewed The Alchemist by the same author. Figuring that I’d try another of his books, I read this one in the summer and wasn’t sure if it was appropriate for a newsletter book review. It’s different from most of the books that I read as it is written in prose, almost like a series of riddles and poems. When it came time to select a book review for this February newsletter, “Warrior of the Light: A Manual” finally seemed appropriate.
A couple of quotes from this book that demonstrate why I am reviewing this book now include:
“[The Warrior of the Light] tries to establish what he can truly rely on. And he always checks that he carries three things with him: faith, hope, and love.”
“Because [The Warrior of the Light] believes in miracles, miracles begin to happen. Because he is sure that his thoughts can change his life, his life begins to change. Because he is certain that he will find love, love appears.”
“The Warrior knows that the most important words in all languages are the small words. Yes. Love. God.”
Worth a read, if you keep a curious mind. Personally, I enjoyed “The Alchemist” more. Send us your review and comments.
