Pay it Forward Day is Friday April 28th. I’ve been aware of this movement for years and have incorporated the sharing of small things into my life. In addition, I also try to do deeds that benefit others on a regular basis. This year, I have felt the generosity of others.

In particular, I want to share a recent internet connection with a fellow named Virgil Anderson who contacted me in early March. He is spending his time educating people about the dangers of mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. His email came at the right time for me, as their website has numerous resources on complementary therapies, including Reiki, craniosacral therapy, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These links pointed me in the direction of additional scientific research on the benefits of complementary therapies in treatment of the side-effects of cancer treatments.

I was particularly touched by Virgil’s generosity when he shared “I was diagnosed a year ago. I have come to terms with my fate and have received a lot of help from the Reiki community. The reason I reach out to people in the first place is in the hopes of saving others from my fate. I hope I am successful in my quest to do so.”

So, as I pass along his story, I hope to touch the lives of a few others. I am grateful, as I am sure Virgil is, for any ripple effects that this story might have. This is particularly interconnected as I attend Mark Auger’s Transformational Wellness Fair at the end of April, where his story of conquering cancer is being released in Markedly: A Healing Journey.

So what can you pass forward this month? What act of generosity can you do? What can you share that will assist someone else? Send me any stories you have and let’s see where this takes us.
