Happify

Posted December 2, 2020

In November, Steve entertained himself by enjoying a book entitled “Reading the OED: One Man, One Year, 21,730 Pages” written by Ammon Shea. Steve shared tidbits with me from the Oxford English Dictionary

(OED) as humorously depicted within the pages of this book. As I’ve mentioned before, Steve and I enjoy increasing our vocabulary. One of the words that was appropriate to our lives was “Happify”, which means “to make happy; to gladden”.

Steve shared this word around the time I was recording a podcast “Permission to Live, Laugh, and Have Fun” with Tomás Garza (author and podcast host). This Decide to Transform podcast recording is available in the following formats:

This builds upon the YouTube video released in the autumn of 2018 entitled “Healing Through Laughter” and the associated blog.

We happify our lives by laughing over the little things and not taking things seriously. As much as humanly possible, I focus on the Sixth Sun and the high vibrational world of which I dream. For me, it is important to be silly and light hearted amidst the fear and heaviness of the world. Steve recently unpacked a comic book, “Get Fuzzy: The Dog is Not a Toy (House Rule #4)” by Darby Conley, from his boxes of books which he is sorting. We both had many chuckles over the cat, dog, and human antics. I am grateful that I give myself permission to giggle.

Happify Yourself!
