Our Bodies as Ecosystems

Posted September 6, 2018

Every day, I am amazed by the revelations that come forward during healing sessions. Recently, clients and I have been piecing together how interconnected our bodies really are; how the human body is an ecosystem of its own. By looking at our physical bodies and energetic fields as an interconnected system, we move ourselves forward on our healing path. This knowledge that everything in our bodies depends upon and requires everything else to function optimally is really eye opening.

It is in these moments that I realize how my science degrees really laid the groundwork for these understandings around energy medicine. I needed the ecology, toxicology, and environmental biology framework in order to comprehend how every cell in our bodies needs every other cell, organ, and system to allow us to be completely integrated beings.

When we realize that we are energetically and physically a small ecosystem within the global system, the understanding that every cell in our bodies is connected to every other living being comes through. Our connection with self and others is part of our overall well being.
