Rose Coloured Glasses

Posted August 15, 2022

In the spring, I purchased the funkiest glasses that I’ve ever owned. They have at least four colours swirled through them (rose, burgundy, orange, and blue). These glasses are a physical representation of the magic I feel inside. When I was picking the frames, I had this unique pair and three more plain blue ones. When I wore my multicoloured frames, I smiled. The staff also knew that the rose coloured glasses were the best for me, especially after Steve showed them a photo of me walking barefoot in the snow. We all laughed at my unique outlook on life.
Despite the joy I felt when I wore them, I kept asking myself “do I need a more adult pair of glasses too?” These frames were actually in amongst the glasses designed for teenagers.

In the past, I’ve always purchased very neutral coloured frames (blue, brown, clear). I’ve also felt like my physical glasses allowed me to see the third dimensional reality and that I needed to take off my glasses to see the magical world that is becoming clearer and clearer. Now, I feel like I can be part of both worlds at the same time.
I am delighted that I trusted my intuition and the magic that I feel when I wear these glasses. Many friends, clients, and colleagues have noticed that with these glasses, I am really presenting my whole and true self. It is often said that optimistic people look at “life through rose coloured glasses”. Now, my eyewear matches my outlook on life. I will continue to see the “glass as half full” and make “lemonade out of lemons”.
