Transformative Places
Posted March 6, 2018As spring arrives, it is time to awaken.
As winter fades away, it is time to move into our light.
In the Toltec / Nahuatl tradition, we heal ourselves so we can journey into the transformative places within, allowing us to be the best manifestation of ourselves. I think about this process frequently. It is part of my own healing journey and the paths of most of my clients, friends, and colleagues.
As I was planning this blog, I realized that there are transformational places outside ourselves too. In fact, I live in an amazing community of people who are transforming themselves and by doing so those around are influenced.
These two photos are from a backpacking trip to Switzerland in June 2004.That was a very life-changing time for me. The majestic mountains were breathtaking. Additionally, the friendly people, peaceful countryside, healthy food, and happy cows started waking me up to a new way of being. In particular, there was one defining moment when I slid down a snow covered slope and braced myself before the precipice. We are all given moments to decide how we live. That was one moment in which I decided to reframe my focus.
What moments frame your life? What transformative places have you been internally and externally? What new life-changing events and practices are waiting for you?
